Bermuda Nursing and Midwifery Council (BNMC) is a regulatory body, Under the authority of the Nursing and Midwifery Act 1997, Nursing and Midwifery  Rules 2010, regulates the practice of nursing and Midwifery, sets standards of education for the professions of Advanced Practice Nurse (APN), Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Specialist, Psychiatric Nurse (RMN), Midwife, Enrolled Nurse (EN) and Nursing Associate (NA). Enables the licensing of nurses and midwives by endorsement, registration of Nursing Associates and the biennial renewal of License / registration of Nurses, Midwives and Nursing Associates. Application for renewal of license / registration shall be made in September or October of the year in which the license / registration is due to expire.

The list of persons registered with BNMC shall be updated frequently. Names of persons appearing on the register are those persons, for the purpose of the Nursing and Midwifery Act 1997,- Section 5, 6 – Admission to the register, Renewal of registration, are legally permitted to use the title Nurse (respective category), Midwife or Nursing Associate.
