Nurses Midwives and Nursing Associates are required by law, to renew their license /registration every two years in order to maintain the right to practice in Bermuda and for nursing and midwifery council to set the number of prescribed continuing education hours. – Nursing and Midwifery Act 1997, Section 6 and 6A.

CE – Continuing Education, CEU- Continuing Education Units or CPD –Continuing Professional Development

Nurses and Midwives are required to show proof by copy of certificates attesting to 24 CEs obtained within the registration period.

Nursing Associates are required to show proof by copy of certificates attesting to 12 CEs obtained within the registration period.

BNMC recognizes accredited online nursing and or midwifery CE /CME programs, College/University Nursing and or midwifery continuing education (BSN, MSN, Ph.D.), Health Care certificates, course/workshop/seminar by provider who is approved or recognized by BNMC
